Ipratropium and Albuterol


Brand Name: Combivent, Duoneb

Albuterol is a bronchodilator medication, which increases the flow of air through the bronchial tubes by relaxing muscles in the airways. Albuterol is used to treat and prevent shortness of breath, and wheezing, caused by asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and other respiratory diseases. It can be inhaled, as a solution, through a nebulizer machine, ingested as a tablet / capsule, or inhaled in powder form with an inhaler. This prescription medication should only be taken in accordance with your doctor's instructions.

Free under Medicare Part B: If you suffer from lung disease, and are on Medicare, you may be entitled to emphysema treatment and medication at no cost.
